Return of the Vikings Flora to Coppergate

If you’re interested in Vikings, Yorkshire days out don’t come much better than this. Between 5th July and 8th July, families can visit Jorvik Viking Centre in York to see flowers that grew over 1,000 years ago in the bustling streets and back yards of Coppergate. This will take you back to the times when Vikings ruled the city, and you’ll be able to explore all the permanent fixtures of the amazing Centre on the day as well.

Teddy Bear Adventure

This event is a great option for kids days out Yorkshire if you have younger children or toddlers. It will take place at Cannon Hall Farm on 7th and 8th July, and it’s a ticket-only event. On the day, there will be plenty of themed activities in Yorkshire, including a performance to enjoy, a workshop where the kids can create their own keepsake bear and a meet-and-greet with Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

Vintage Trains

The Vintage Trains event at Haworth Railway Station is set to provide fascinating Yorkshire days out for those with an interest in trains. The event will run every Sunday from 8th July until 5th August, giving you plenty of time to experience old locomotives, some of which come from as far back as the Victorian times. It’s rare for the public to have the chance to experience trains like these, so if your kids have got a keen interest in trains, this is an event not to be missed.

Magical Unicorn Day

A Magical Unicorn Day is being held on 15th July at Thornton Hall Country Park, and it’s an amazing opportunity for kids days out Yorkshire. The event will include colourful and fun activities in Yorkshire, such as unicorn rides, live performances, golden horseshoe hunts, interactive workshops, build-a-bear activities and farmyard fun. Advance tickets are advised for this event.

Party in the Park

Party in the Park is an exciting live music event hosted in one of the region’s most thrilling theme parks, Flamingo Land. On your Yorkshire days out, you’ll be able to enjoy meeting zoo animals and taking on white-knuckle rides before watching acts such as S Club 3, Pixie Lott and The Vengaboys perform live in the park. Emily Bronte’s Birthday Weekend

Between 27th and 30th July, Bronte Parsonage Museum in Haworth will be celebrating the 200th birthday of Emily Bronte, one of the most beloved and creative writers in the history of literature. There are various events over the weekend, including ‘I Am Heathcliff’, ‘Women, the Gothic and Emily’ and ‘What Emily Means to Us: A Celebration of Emily Bronte at 200’. Literature fans won’t want to miss this wonderful celebration.
